Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Snowboard boots - Scotland

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
My husband and I live in Fife, Scotland. My husband needs to get a new pair of Snowboard boots before January.

There are lots of topics on here about where's best to buy ski boots and get them fitted, but I'm not sure that's the metric I should be using for choosing somewhere to get Snowboard boots.

So I'm willing to travel to Edinburgh, Glasgow and possibly as far away as the scottish ski slopes - anyone able to give me some pointers?

Thanks alot - will have a wander over there and take a look.
I know it's a little early, but I've got my summer holidays out of the way and now I'm looking forward to the winter one. I'm not buying new kit for me (just getting my Flow's repaired), so I thought the least I could do was try and help hubby out!

SnowboardVicky, i think grand Prix used to have a place in glasgow...been a while since i have spoken to any of them, but the alternatives are Brighams at xscape or possibly craigdon mountain sports in perth??? not sure if they do SB though

Best selection is probably EB @ xscape, but i donht know if they have a good snowboard boot fitter, you could always grab a ski boot fitter (sandy is a good guy) and hope his skills transfer.

Since your in fife you could go to Summits in Dunfermline or ther eis a place in dundee that sells tons of gear on ebay.
Thereis also a sale in Blues (tiso) glasgow starting today and it starts in Edinburgh next friday. Everything half price.

A shop I like is Skinboardroom in partick off dumbarton road (dificult to find but they are great. I got a Pair of Lange Compfprt95's off season at a great price.

Okay, thanks, that's some good suggestions. I feel confident now that we'll be able to get some boots here that hopefully hubby will be happy with!

I'll let you know how we get on, but it'll probably be into October before we get anything sorted. Hubby is travelling alot before then.
