Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ryanair to launch one million £8 seats from Stanstead

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Ryanair has released one million seats at £8 for travel in late September, October and November, a bit too early for some European snow

The tickets include all taxes and charges if you pay by with Visa Electron, travel with carry on luggage only and don't have the priority boarding you can fly for £8.

Don't forget to wear your heaviest clothes, have a P before you board as it might cost extra, and don't eat or drink on the plane.

Must be booked by 19 August

'Twas only £5 last week. Very Happy

They seem to be having a price-war with themselves this summer. I booked some tickets during a £5 sale back in June, and the following week they had a £1 sale! Suggests cash-flow problems ... paying with a credit card (to get the protection of the consumer credit act) would seem to be a good idea if you are buying more expensive flights.

I know I'm being miserable saying this, but you'd have to pay me to fly from Stanstead. All of my last three journeys involving the airport have been a complete nightmare.

Baaa humbug, etc.

FlyingStantoni, Funny how you get different experiences: I've ony been to Stansted 3 times and it's always been much better than either Gatwick or Heathrow. Not as good as the tiddly airports though.

waynos, That's cheaper than the cheapest ferry ticket I could find.

FlyingStantoni, That's a surprise. I have been through Stansted a dozen or more times a year over about ten years and have never had any problem. What went wrong for you?

Much preferable, I agree , to Gatwick or Heathrow.

My only issue with Stansted is late evening/night arrivals. Every time I have been on one of those, the wait for the bagages has been ridiculously long...

But the departure experience (check-in and duty-free) has greatly improved from the early days...And it's barely 40 min away from my home so defo my 1st choice..

Agree that Stansted is good, better than Heathrow, Gatwick or Luton, but the best of all is City airport, 20 minute check in minimum fuss Smile

Agree with the City fans. Not just going out but coming back. Runway to taxi/DLR in about 10 minutes - wonderful.

easiski, achilles, never said it wasn't cheap. I'll be keeping my cost lower by using my post office electron card, though i'd think the halifax easycash electron is probably more flexible and cheaper than the post office card.

maggi, should have made clear, that is a ranking of airports which purport to serve London (ie where I live)

and East Midlands isn't North - it's Midlands!
