Funnily enough the place I have had most dificulty sideslipping is Hemel - combination of shallow gradient, grippy snow and no momentum made it one of the most difficult basic exercises I've ever done.

Not so far from wrong. You guys sure beat us to small radius sidecuts. I remember before the shape ski came out, suffering from sidecut envy as I watched boarders carving beautiful short radius turns. I was making my plans to put 2 snowboards on my feet when shapes hit the market.
