Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Where to ski in summer!

This is a pretty good article about where to ski in summer:
http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/2001136/where_to_ski_and_snowboard_in_summer.html

It was written from a US perspective.

I've skied Argentina and Colorado in May. Never been to NZ or Chile.

nycskier, I'm rather puzzled - after following your link and the links on there I still didnt' find much info on where to ski in summer. Mount Hood, sure - we all know about that, but the supposed list of where to ski shows mostly US winter skiing. Does summer mean something else over there???? We are skiing now in Europe on the glaciers. rolling eyes

However for the longest ski season in North America. the place to be is Timberline at Mt Hood in Oregon. In 2009 Timberline is schedule to stay open until September 7th. The Magic Mile and Palmer usually operate most days from 7:00AM until 1:30PM.

Was there on Sunday. It was where I first skied, also in the summer. Had a flight to catch, so not quite enough time to have a run. There is considerably less snow there today than in the early '80s. Crying or Very sad

I think there is less snow there now because the US West coast had a lighter snow year than usual this year.
