I found some mainstream press attention, but it's dubious.

The Snow Arena is being built in forest land 500 metres from the village of Druskininkai, in the spectacular Mizar spectacular mountain forest. |
Not only a grammar typo, but also there aren't any mountains for about a thousand miles. "Mizarai" is just a little village, there's nothing around there that you could describe as a "spectacular mountain forest" so that's an odd choice of phrasing. I think someone must have done a mechanical translation of something and got the wrong end of the stick.

ME AGAIN!
Pricing just announced:
Adults:
2 hours - 29 LTL
3 hours - 35 LTL
4 hours - 38 LTL
All day - 48 LTL
Exchange rate is currently about 25p.
See, this is what it ought to cost to ski on half a km of man made snow all day - twelve quid. I dunno how the extortionate places in Britain get away with their rates really. It must be because skiers on the whole are a load of blingy haw-hawing nouveau riche toffs with considerably more money than sense!

Mr Technique, you should be appointed the snowHeads Ambassador to the Snow Arena. We expect a full trip report in due course.

Mr Technique, loving the updates... it's starting to look better thank Tamworth already!

They missed a trick not getting it ready for this Winter though. A Summer opening won't have the wow factor, with the outside track closed for business.

Mr Technique, yes agreed, although the above shot with real snow on looks great! How many outdoor days is realistic in that part of Lithuania? (not an area I know too much about!)

LT's a cold place for its altitude/latitude - only the same lat as top of Scotland, and completely flat, is about -20 at night at the moment - but its Winter season is like Europe really. Snow from November/December through til March/April.

Here are some up to date plans and stuff.
Some of those mockups are hilariously bad.
Also there's no point having a cock-measuring competition about which is better due to having a bend or not. I don't suppose two snowdomes as far apart as Lithuania and Dubai are in any competition with each other. |

It is, and about the same from Kaunas (where Ryanair fly to).
It's becoming rather well known locally as a 'wellness' centre. I've heard it referred to as the 'Dubai of Eastern Europe' -due to the amount of development that's going on with the local leisure industry, hotels being built etc
