Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Daily Mail Ski Magazine holiday stirs one or two ... err ... comments

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
A couple of weeks back the editor of Daily Mail Ski - Henry Druce - was brave enough to take 135 skiers to Val d'Isere on an 'end of season fling' ... and then take the perilous step of blogging about it. All seems to have gone OK, but the blog has provoked one or two comments today at the bottom of the page. Check it out:

Have you been on a Daily Mail ski holiday? Do you know the Le Fjord chalet in Val?*

[* I do, but I think it was rebuilt after I was last there in about 1970 with a bunch of madmen from the Australian Air Force]

David Goldsmith,

That sounded a very good deal for the money...will check that out next year

As it happens, I stayed there in 1986...run then by Ski West, I believe

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I remember going past that chalet lots of times, it always looked smart.

How good was the Daily Mail Mag deal? I can't find any info on price?

They'd have to pay me to spend a week in a chalet with 135 Daily Mail readers ... a few days with the in-laws is more than enough for me! Razz

They aren't Daily Mail readers (well some are bound to be, but as a group they aren't).

Although the magazine is owned by the same people, it doesn't follow that the readership are remotely the same.

roga, I once went on a camping weekend with the Young Conservatives Society back in the mid 80's (under an assumed name of course). We formed the YC Socialist Movement at one point... pretty off our heads at the time Twisted Evil

Fair point, but I'd rather not risk it - can't say it's a magazine whose approach to snowsports chimes with mine Toofy Grin
