Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

British snow athletes link with ice athletes to raise new funds

Snowsport GB - the governing body of British competitive skiing and snowboarding - has linked with the governors of ice skating, ice hockey and sledding events (luge, skeleton, bobsleigh etc.) to raise money, support more athletes, and increase the number of Olympic medal wins.

The new body is called the British Winter Sports Group and it will cover a total of 12 sports disciplines.

Not too sure about this. The only common denominator appears to be frozen water. If they save on HQ costs and it means a bigger, more co-ordinated commercial effort then it could pay off.

Wonder if Robin Cousins collapsed shortly after that pic... she's all muscle.

Robin cousins is a lucky man...

It'll probably just dilute the focus..and since whens ice skating a sport... I could possiblly understand the sliding event sjoining up with the skiers
