Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Following the useful tip off in the "Apres" section I went into Filarinskis this morning to have a look at what will be in the sale.

The answer is that everything will be in the sale, but not all on the "Dutch auction" system. Some items like MBT shoes, the latest walking boots, fancy flip flops (my, there are some very fancy flip flops around these days!) will be a fixed price of 20% off. There's lots of clothing, including fleeces, base layers etc as well as jackets and salopettes - I have my eye on a jacket. Clothing which is in the sale will go down to 70% off. Which makes some of the fancier jackets just about affordable.
You can put in a bid on the internet - there were some items noted as "sold" at 1145 or whenever the discount reaches the level the bidder goes for. I was not surprised to see a "sold" ticket on a pair of Head Supershape Magnum skis - but there are a couple of others, and of course they might be sold before the time is reached. I'm not going to tell you the skis I fancy.
It's impossible to see all the things without being there and/or trying them on (e.g. helmets, ski boots, etc). I might go along but you'd need to keep a tight rein on your credit card
