Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Nassfeld in April

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I've seen some good reviews on here and elsewhere about Nassfeld and am very tempted to try it next year.

It's not the highest resort, but it's "micro climate" location makes it fairly reliable ... apparently. I've done enough research on the resort to be totally comfortable in it's other attributes, the only uncertainty being the snow reliability late in the season.

So, am I mad in even considering it for April next year ? Looking at this years record and the current web cams it would seem not (but this year has been a bumper one), are there any local SH's in the region who know what the "typical" conditions are like ?

For the record, I am prepared to take the gamble, but it is persuading others in our group that I have difficulty with and not wanting to be the one to blame should the white stuff not be there.

I would assume no skiing back to the valley in April, as in the bottom of the millenium lift, but the main ski area itself ought to be fine. I've skied there in April a few times and it has been fab.

As with anywhere else in the spring, on sunny days it got soft by mid-afternoon, but other than that I would have no hesitation.

Great skiing there by the way, good choice!
