Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Arab nation skiers snub the US and Europe

With the best conditions for some years at north-eastern Lebanese resorts such as Farya and Fakra, skiers from Arab states are staying closer to home for their winter sports holidays this season. Deterred by the strength of the euro from heading to the European resorts, still feeling unwelcome in the US following September 11, visitors are flocking into Beirut International Airport, heading for the slopes.

Around 450,000 Arab tourists visited Lebanon since last week - most to spend the Moslem Adha holiday at winter resorts in the northeast, an airport official said Wednesday.

"Planes coming from the Arab countries were full. People have been flocking into Beirut International Airport since January 14," according to the official, who requested anonymity. Most headed for the luxurious ski resorts an hour and a half away from Beirut.

"We had full occupancy. Arab Tourists from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan and other Middle Eastern countries came to spend their time skiing and enjoying our winter resorts," said Robert Zoubi, General Manager of the Intercontinental Mzaar hotel in Farya ski resort.

"Our hotel in Farya has been full since January 15t, and this is continuing until mid-February. It's the best ski season ever," he added.
