Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Leki clip in/out poles

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi
I wonder if anyone is able to help me please?
Earlier this year I purchased a pair of Leki ski poles in France with the clip in/out strap.
Within a week I managed to loose the right hand one much to my frustration!

Anyway, from searching the Leki website I found the UK importer to be Ardblair Sports Limited and promptly called them.
They advised that the part is available but that they could only sell it to a retailer who would then have to order it an add their 'handling fee'
this i expect to be well over £20 and given that the poles only cost circa £40 i am tempted to just chuck them and buy new next season.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Many thanks

PS I have looked on ebay etc

Spoons on Skis, trigger S has a loop of nylon in a slot,
As already asked is yours the mark 1 has just a yellow clip on a glove loop?
Or mark 2 has grey metal clip affair on top of thumb?
If mark 1have a pair somewhere as have switched to mark2 as mark1 are cr#p

We've got some kicking around. Junior has the Leki gloves too, so the pole clips straight on to the glove and he doesn't use the straps. Message me if you're interested.

Thank you for all your great ideas. Firstly they are the newer ones with a white nylon loop that connects to a clip on the pole, they are NOT the old yellow plastic wedge design.
The ones I have found on the net look nothing like the one I have although I will delve into the links in more detail later. I would upload a photo if I knew how!
I finally got a price from ellis brigham. £25 plus £5 P&P. I only paid circa £40 for them in January!
Thanks everyone Happy Very Happy

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Spoons on Skis, Got a few spare pairs as (deMrs has said above) Junior has the gloves too so the straps are surplus to requirements and as he destroys poles on an annoyingly regular basis sp we have a (small) collection of straps.

£5 per strap to you. Or £7.50 for a pair. Including postage.
