Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Just a quick bit of news to boast of a new
English-born ski talent
.
We've just come back from watching the finals of the
NORTH FACE SKI CHALLENGE
which took place in Val Thorens at the weekend.
This fab competition which takes it's finalists from all over Europe - Finland, Sweden, Germany, Slovakia, France and Italy - this year also included a 13-year-old English free-skier who qualified 2nd in Chamonix at the end of February and earned a place in the finals amongst some awesome riders.
Wearing number 9 (blue Oxbow jacket and POC helmet) Elliott held his own in both the Free-ride on Friday and Freestyle on Sunday despite white-out conditions!

, Great news as far as I can see we haven't got anyone close to being World class on the world freeride scene so it's great to see some emerging talent - good for him!!

Elliott (PENTIN) is really into
free-ride
more so than free-style, although he can hold his own in the park and is perfecting his 720!
Anyway as far as I can tell the North Face Ski Challenge is the only European free-ride competition for young kids -
he's only 13 - so a few more years to practice until the big comps for 16+
