Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

A snowHead
Hi,
I'm a 22 year old male and have been skiing since I was 7 years old (15 years). I can ski any run with confidence and love to ski powder when its available. I'm currently skiing on a pair of old Salomon 1080's (which I really like but have recently developed a cracked edge) and am looking for a ski to replace them. I don't want anything with an excesive side cut (90+). I have been looking at skis and there seems to be quite a few that fit what I want.
I have looked into
Head - Monsters IM78's/IM 82's
Salomon - Lords or 1080's
Rossingnol - Phantom SC 80's or S2 Jago's
K2
- Apache recons/xtreams or the
K2
extremes
Scott
- missons
can anybody give me some advice
Cheers
Jamie

Cant comment on the others, but i have just purchased a pair of Monster iM78 in 177cm.
i am 6ft and 14.6 stone (92 Kg) only used them so far in chill factor to test em and all seems good, very easy to get on edge and quick from edge to edge and will be wide enough to cope with moderate off piste powder. Off to tignes on sat to give em a real test
Have also skied Salomon tornado TI's (all mountain ski) for a week in canada, i even just a short spin in the chill factor confirmed to me that buying the Head monsters was the right descision. I have never seen a bad report on the monster im78's either which also helped my desicion.
