Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Best Insurance???

 Poster: A snowHead

Hi,

I'm sure this question has been done to death in the past but can't really the answer i'm looking for.

I'm going to PSV tomorrow untill the 29th. During the time i will definately be going off piste, probably in the parks and we're also hoping to get a day trip to La Grave in.

What is the best insurance for this trip? Am i right in thinking that Carte Neige isn't that much use in this neck of the woods??? Also it seems quite complicated in that you have to have two policies.

I've checked out Snowcard which doesn't seem to bad but for full cover including personal belongings etc it weighs in at £43 which seems quite a lot for a weeks cover.

SC of GB seems the best bet so far seems to level similar benefits to Snowcard but for only £23.

I used to just use non specialist insurance cover which included wintersports. But now im starting to get more serious i want the insurance to match. Last year i use BMC for a month in canada but since you have to register etc it that would work to expensive just for this week.

Is there anyone else i should be looking at, and is there any reason that i should pick Snowcard of Ski club of GB's?? Cheaper is always better!!!!

Thanks for your help ppl.

All the gear...no idea!, I've used Direct Travel for years as well as being cheap they covered me for off piste and heli and no additional charge for parks. Parks are definetly something people have to look at in the small print. I heard of one guy who bust himself up in a half pipe and got his mates to drag him to a piste because he wasn't insured!! Not that I want this to apply to anyone but when I got injured a few weeks ago the service I got from the insurer's was top notch in terms of repartiation and help which is always reassuring to know.
