Poster: A snowHead
|
Hi, we are off to C1850 at Easter. Last time we were there was about 5 years ago, we booked the kids into Ski Supreme. We were going to do the same again until we saw the prices! I may be a bit out of touch, but 360 euros fo ra week in easter seems a bit steep.
Question is, can anyone recommend a ski school there which wont break the bank. I've read that the 1550 ESF is good, anyone any experience?

davef, I would recomend New Generation, they are very good, think you will pay about the same or a bit more

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

davef, We have used ESF in 1550 for last two years at Easter and have been happy with them both times. ( 1550's ski school meeting place was in 1850)

Thanks for the advice, My wife's not too keen on putting them into ESF, although the thought of paying 360 each for them is giving me panic attacks (typical Scot!) Any other reccommendations?

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

davef, it's 360 because it's double the lesson hours in the week. I have to say we always go with Supreme and always feel we've had value for money.

Thanks guys, we've booked them in with Supreme. they've been with them in the past and have enjoyed themselves. they've had to go into an adult group because of their age but there are 2 or 3 other kids in the class so should be fine.
Roll on Easter!!!

davef, Did you find a ski ski instructor for Easter ? My name is Claude and I am working as an independent ski instructor in the 3 Valleys mainly in Courchevel and Meribel. My prices are not so expensive and maybe you will be interested. Go to www.snowarea.net. Enjoy your Easter holiday !

I'd certainly recommend snowarea. Claude ran a number classes at the EoSB last year in VT (I think that he was working for New Gen then?) & I did a couple of classes with him. Claude's command of english was very good, especially when explaining the 'subtleties' which can often be a problem if you're not teaching in your native language.
And if you want to ski bumps then he's da man, especially if you want to ski scraped-off black run bumps in a whiteout
I also remember him skiing some fresh'n'deep on his slalom skis which was very impressive.
