Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Paying extra for ski carriage...

Luggage allowance: a boot bag+ a 20kg case. Pay extra for a ski bag.

So, if you get your skis into the 20kg allowance, do you not have to pay for the ski bag? Or is it a shape thing?

I was fractionally miffed to have to pay £20 ski carriage when the ski bag was well under 20kg, and I didn't have a suitcase with me too.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

We mostly just take handluggage these days - but still expect to pay extra for skis (except with good old BA!).

It's a shape thing.

The skis have to go through the "oversize" luggage check in, and are handled differently.

Just to say, i went to LDA (arrived back this morning, was great btw) through Neilson flying with Thomas cook, although i was asked if i wanted ski carrige (for the sum of £30) at the time of booking i wasn't sure i would take my skis or not so didn't take it, asking that i could add this at a later date. Well come the morning of the flight i had forgotton I hadn't booked my skis in, so just thought i'd pay at the airport.....come check in i said i had skis but wasn't charged anything extra! Very Happy Very Happy moeny went on a nice fondue meal out in the resort.
