Don't think this is strictly true I'd say that they also do all-mountain skis for the Western US/Canuckisatni skier along with some hooning harder pack all mountain skis.

What a load of 'orrible jargon. I thought 'ability to execute' must mean the ability of the ski to function as a samurai sword when decapitating errant snowboarders...and skiers.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Simple overview of a ski range
Race room skis - for actual competitors
Punter SL & GS - The mere mortal version
Detuned SL/GS - High end piste ski
Softer version of above - Int
Even softer version of above - beginner
Kindling
All mountain for skinny folk 80-90
Park 90 with Twin
All mountain mid fat 100
Big mountain charger 110
Funshape 120-1140
One of the above but drilled out like a swiss cheese and wood replaced by quavers - touring model
Any ranges actually need any more models?
Duplicate range in pink or with butterflies " for the burrrds"

How "we" categorise skis? Surely "we" categorise buy have they ski and how they look, personally in that order.

That's just 'completeness' with no 'vision'. Zero forward thinking.
A company that makes touring/powder/punter/race using dimensions and marketing niche plans that were sorted out in previous seasons by other companies should not get credit.
Elan should get a kick to the right for the SCX alone, with minor credit for the 662/666, and integrated bindings.
Atomic kicked right for the Powder Plus, kicked up for their WC race skis, kicked right for Metrons, then kicked into the floor for Xentrix.
Fischer nudged right for Sceneo and RX8 and RX9 and Watea and Frequency Tuning in the RC4s.
K2 a big kick right for T9/Luv chick skis and PEs and Seth pistols and actually owning a telemark division and Coombas and a giant kick to the right past Rossi and Dynastar for *SHAPED SKIS* then downwards for not being able to hold onto a race ski line or a telemark line or for not being able to hold onto their premiership in a niche they invented (rockered fats).
Sheesh, Rossi and Dynastar (and Salomon, though not so much) should get outright demerits on CoV for the whole shaped ski fiasco 12 years ago.
