Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I think i'd head out to to Utah probably and head round all the resorts there, maybe also Banff kicking horse revelstoke etc!

I'd go on a skiing holiday and not come back until I had learnt to ski properly

First of all I'd get the best knee surgeon in the World to operate on my F**** knees! After that I would do a tour of the Utah resorts, go to Aspen because I've always wanted to, have a couple of weeks in Revelstoke doing Cat and Heli from a luxury condo with it's own heli pad. Pick off a load of European resorts I haven't done yet on little weekend trips and head down to South America for the summer to do the 'ski with a pro' week in Portillo, and some gnarly freeriding in Las Lenas. Oh and not forgetting I would finally get my 3 year boy on the slopes!

warm up with a couple of weeks skiing jackson, revelstoke, and val d'isere then have a week skiing rettalack bc which has surely got to be the ultimate cat skiing destination but at 3800 canadian dollars for five days isn't cheap and then spend the last few weeks of the trip heli skiing in the chugach mountains. Somehow though I don't think my student loan is going to cover this little excursion though.

probably a similar thing to what we have done this time, but allowing days for travelling and staying in resorts for longer Very Happy

A roadtrip around BC/Alberta taking in all the sights and most of the resorts - Next I'd like a similar theme around Utah, its on the cards but maybe in a year or so Madeye-Smiley

To be honest I'd probably do a season in St Anton, taking in Lech, Zurs, Zug, Stuben and St Christoph.... plenty to keep any half decent skier happy for an age and what a fine place to improve the off piste technique!

.... then move on to Argentina / Chile for the summer.... wink

If only money and time off work were no object!!!!

Not bothered about going Stateside, but I really fancy Ischgl and it's way over my price range...

queen bodecia, if you book independently it's not too bad... we usually get a B&B reasonably close to the lifts, fly into Freidrichschafen and hire a car... it's no more expensive than booking virtually anywhere in Austria with a TO... PM me if u want further info

I skied the year before paying 25 Euro per head per night B&B at Mathon. With the wife we stayed in a ensuite room. For 50 Euro for a double room B&B I thought was average to ski anywhere in Austria, Italy and France.

We did our dream destinations of Davos and St Moritz and the accommodation cost was doubled but it is always more expensive to ski in Switzerland.

SnowGod, saikee, B&B and DIY would not save me any money as I'm a solo traveller, but thanks for the suggestions...

queen bodecia, I'm solo too and have been doing my own thing for years now even when I lived in the UK. The mark-up that the In-Coming specialists make doing deals for tour operators is horrendous and exactly why solo travellers are penalised. Why accept one when you can hoik up the price for doubles and it still looks less than the solo is paying Confused

I deal directly with the Tourist Offices - got a great deal for 3 nights on St Anton that was ski in ski out even, when all the hotel and operator sites said no accommodation for less than 6 nights!

I'd do the early part of the season in Switzerland-stay in Klosters and then take in Davos, Arosa, St. Moritz..mainly because having worked in Klosters for 4 years it is like home and I know everywhere like the back of my hand...a good warm up, but I would like to see some of the nearby resorts (Arosa, St. Moritz).

After February time, I would move stateside and take in Vail, Breckenridge, Beaver Creek and Aspen, before flying up and finishing the season in Whistler Blackcomb.

Now where's my lottery win??

If money isn't a problem, I'll get on a plane and head to where the next snow storm is forecast to hit! Smile

Once there, I'll use whatever appropriate means (lifts/snowcats/helicopter) to access ALL the new powders until all good lines got track off or become too heavy.

Then, repeat the process by getting on a plane again...

Krasnaya Polyana, Russia and environs next for me.

It's the area selected for the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics.
