Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Pain on top of foot

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I'm getting a bruise/compression type pain where my boot is pressing on the top of my foot (the part opposite the arch of the foot, but the name escapes me).

I need to have the two clips on the toe part of the boot quite loose in order not to get the pain.

Would custom insoles help me with this problem, or can the boot be blown out somehow? The boot in question is a Head Edge 10+ - it only happens on my left foot!

fleetelise, You'll probably get quite a few responses on this one so can I be the first to recommend visiting a bootfitter and getting your boots (or a new pair) properly fitted Laughing

Custom insoles may well help, but that's what a bootfitter can help you with after measuring your feet. Good Luck snowHead

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks Axsman, I got them from Ellis Brigham and supposedly they offer a lifetime adjustment guarantee or something like that.

I do intend do visit them, but just wanted to canvass opinion on likley remedies so I could cross check against what I'm told in the shops!

fleetelise, Before trusting your tootsies to EB, have a sniff round using the search facility on here (top left under the mountains pic) for advice on 'bootfitting' or 'bootfitters'. It may save you lots of grief.

BTW I'm Not trying to be obtuse, just not wanting to repeat all the good stuff (and there's plenty of it) That's been posted before snowHead

Bottom line, if you are anywhere near Leamington Spa try Lockwoods. Very Happy
