Poster: A snowHead
|
Ok, I'll be travelling alone and I'm a beginner boarder (yes, I've chose the board over skis!) - I had my heart set on Kitzbuhel - there was a single room available on Crystal ski up until recently but I've left it too late
Now I can't find anywhere. Well nowhere that doesn't require a small fortune. I was planning on travelling on March 28th for a week - and I'm pretty sure I want to go to Austria.
All I want really is some suggestions which websites / operators to try searching?

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Have you tried asking in the trips section? There is normally someone needing a partner to cut costs.
Good Luck !

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

crispyste, try ringing Crystal. Sometimes they have twin rooms available for solo use by paying a supplement. You can't book these via the website for some reason, but only over the phone. The supplements do vary but as yours is probably classed as a 'last minute' request the supplement might be minimal. There's no harm in trying. I managed to do this for my holiday this season as the only single room had already been taken. The supplement was £84 but there was already a £28 supplement for the single room so the supplement was effectively £56...

crispyste, glad you got it sorted. Quite irritating that it's not possible to book a twin room for sole use via the website. It does open up a whole stack of other possibilities (at a price of course!)...
Is it Kitzbühel you're going to? I went there last season and had a great time despite slightly iffy conditions. The snow is great this season. Hope you have a fantastic time...
