Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

It's my brothers bday soon and i have a £25 voucher for amazon so i thought this would be a good opportunity to get rid of it. I was thinking something like this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Complete-Guide-Ski-Touring-Mountaineering/dp/1425970230/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1235942049&sr=8-9&tag=amz07b-21 but it's difficult to tell if its actually any good as there's no way of telling what sort of standard its aimed at. It claims to cover novice to proffessional but they rarely actually do and i wouldn't want to buy something that's jsut going to tell him how to put a harness on. Just wondered if anybody had read it or had any other reccommendations along similar lines. Cheers

Yeah a ski movie or you may be able to pick up a pair of Thermal gloves for him? Look like tights and keep the hands really warm.

Blizzard of aahs is amazing movie and well worth the money. Also the Warren smith improvment videos are well worth the money.

el nombre, Greg Stump is a generally legendary figure in ski movies. What is a ski movie? In some sense, it's a documentary of professional skiers. It may be hit and miss, but go on youtube, and search for greg stump blizzard and you should find a trailer for blizzard of aahs, if it looks like something you think they'd like then hey!
