Im no expert either but each model of binding has a special jig which makes sure the holes are drilled correctly for that binding making sure they are mounted correctly for your boot length. A special drill bit only allows holes of the corect depth to be drilled too.
So go through the tool box again and see if you find a jig for the FRitschi's before you make swiss cheese of your skis!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Go to the ski shop before you trash your skis.

Thanks & very glad I asked.
Often, when I'm on a mission to build or repair something, I don't bother reading the instruction manual or asking a question before dismantling it despite discovering the inevitable extra screw, nut, washer, flange, seal, bearing, fuse, hinge, sprocket or diode laying on the carpet after it's all been put back together again and appears to be working fine.
This approach is OK when you think you know what you might find inside and when it's not going to hurt you if it nearly works properly most of the time. Ski binding mountings are a mystery though and I value their contribution to the mechanical link between be and my planks so won't take the risk.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Wise choice. It's not a difficult job by any means, but it does require the right kit and a bit of knowledge.
