what's the best thing to do with bindings on skis?
I do always leave them with a good coat of wax - but can never remember about the bindings.

Thinking of putting skis and boots in attic is this a suitable environment. Does it matter if skis are left on tails or on bases, don't want to affect camber of ski, incidently what is the purpose of the camber

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

kendub, make sure the boots are loosely done up and the liner is sitting properly (i.e. not creased) - otherwise they'll be hell to put on for the first time next season.
Personally, I wouldn't put them anywhere that's subject to extremes of temperature or, potentially, moisture - i.e. the attic.
pam w, I've been told to slacken off bindings and leave them open. Not sure how much of an old wives' tale that is though

Definitely do up the boots, as my understanding is that the plastic can be affected if you don't close them up. I do mine up on a tightish setting.

Mount the boots into the bindings and set them up in the living room, possibly in a cross shape above the mantlepiece or just next to your chair. That way you can gaze at them and stroke them through the dark summer.
Or boot out the missus and put 'em in her side of the bed.
.........................or is that just me?

I used to always do this but I seem to remember Spyderjon posting that no manufacturer recommended this.

kendub, Make sure the boots (at least) get treated to a session or two on the plastic or in one of the fridges..otherwise they'll forget what to do.

To spread your weight over the snow starting with the ends instead of starting at the middle.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

The problem with putting them in the attic is that it means you can't gaze lovingly at them every night before going to bed
Mine do actually stay in a corner of my bedroom, bases together, resting on their tails.

What, doesn't everyone have the family skis lined up in their kitchen - alongside the tuning bench ?
