For quick turning, hard carving and a decent bit of ice-hold? Cheers for any input.

I've not skied the SX10 but can recommend the Magnum for what you want, Mollerski.

RX8 - light feel, quick and easy to turn - really a fantastic ski for "aspiring intermediates"
MAGNUM - stabler at speed, less gittery, respond better to stronger, faster skiers, i think that they are better suited to more technical skiers than the RX8
SX10 - never skied them

Mollerski, i have magnums and love em.... soft at slow speeds but the intelligent fiber thingy seems to actually work and i can really rip turns with them. I know a very very good skier (ex national team) who raves over the SX12, says they are a factory GS ski with wider tips and tails. depends what you are after and how heavy you are...
