Anyone looking for concessionary passes for youths/kids/students/old gits will be required to show proof of entitlement at the ticket windows. So:
Youth day passes (ages 13 to 17 inclusive) - passports
Student day passes - student ID card
Freebies (under five/over 72) - passport/driving licence
Kids (five to 12 inclusive) - passport (though presentation of an actual blatantly under-13 child will suffice)
Large families (family of five, minimum purchase of four passes) - something to show you are all one household.
If you have a particularly large child (eg is 12 but looks 15) he/she would be wise to carry ID as well as lift pass, since these passes are often checked.
Apparently control have been snowed under with naughty people fibbing about their status, much tightening up going on. Tut tut.

Smokin Joe, lots of them already have, and been grumpy about it as well (I wasn't asked for this yesterday, why do you want it now, you could be a bit flexible, what f I bring you it later etc etc).
Amazing how many parents don't know their children's dates of birth - you'd think it would be an event which would stick in the mind.

we had a few problems last week. The other family we went with have 3 kids under 18 so it entitled them to a family pass of 2 adults passes and 3 kids passes. The problem was one of them turned 18 on the thursday. They emailed the lift office who said it was fine, but one of the other kids turned 16 on the tuesday and had a 16 badge on so when they went throught the scanners at the lift and it popped up green they were told they were too old! They ended up arguing that they weren't and were let up. This meant the 17 soon to become 18 just said he was 17 at every lift when he was asked how old he was just to save agro!
