Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Getting flat mounted bindings moved (?)

I have a pair of iM82s with a Mojo 12 flat mounted binding. They were fixed by the supplier for a size 26 boot. Due to me being an utter muppet when it comes to boots I will now have to ski in a size 25 boot, ergo a 10mm difference (297 to 287).

Will I need to get the binding re-drilled? If yes, is this going to (seriously) "harm" my skis?

There will be a certain amount of adjustment in the binding, so you may not need to get them re-drilled. If you do, then theyll probalby have to move them my more than 1cm as that's only 0.5cm per end and the holes would overlap. In the first intance I'd look at the adjustment in the binding, but if not, then re-drilling for a second mount won't make too much difference, I had to do it on my Pocket Rockets which were set far too big even at maximum adjustment

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks nbt, that's hopefully re-assuring. I've been reading around but seemingly unable to get a straight yay or nay, seems to also depend on the original mount whether that 1cm of play is available... I will have to take them in to a shop and get them looked at when I land, but thank you for your positive reply. Smile
