Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Les Arcs 1800 Ski schools

Poster: A snowHead
We put our children (5 & 8 now 6 & 9) in ESF at Les Arcs 1800 last year for their first week on the snow. They learnt a lot but neither of them particularly enjoyed the experience, especially the 5 year old. This year they are both asking us not to put them into ski school. We are happy to have them with us for the whole day as it is a lot of fun but I do think they should go to ski school to improve their technique, and carry on learning.

My question is what alternatives to ESF are there? Have you had experience of them (or ESF in Arc 1800), good or bad?

We are going at the week ending Easter weekend if that makes any difference

Arc Adventures perhaps? I've not had any personal experience of Arc Adventures, but they seem to be the main alternative to ESF in Arc 1800.

Hi,
I have had lessons with both Arc Adventures and ESF in Arc 1800, they are both fine. Why not consider private tuition for the four of you? I've done that with both companies and enjoyed the experience. The children will be with you and get lessons! Here's the link to the tourist info site with details of the ski schools. I've never used Privilege.

Thanks both. I will lake a look at Arc Adventures I think the main problem last year was the fact that the children were split up, and both ended up in mainly French speaking groups, and felt a bit isolated.
