Salomon S912 ti bindings included in the sale.
Paid £73 for the lot, so if they're not that much good to me, I'm sure I can always get my money back on them.
Anybody got any opinions on these skis?

Have been skiing on them for a few years....with a 85mm waist they are a good compromise between piste and off piste, fairly stiff...well they're Volkl after all, very good/stable at high speeds and carve well. They have the same bomb proof wood construction and dimensions as the G4 (but without the metal layer), which a few years back every serious ski bum wanted to be seen on. My skiing buddies were taking the pi** b/c I was skiing fat skis like that (I was "cheating" they said)....now they all ski really fat skis and are laughing at my thin sticks. Go figure. Anyway, I think you've got keepers as long as you do a some off piste with them.

oh, they are also supposed to be good for the park being TT and all that, though I couldn't care less.
Always liked the graphics though....crazy girl with wild hairdo (yellow) on grey background

snowman, you have the last year of production, 2003/4, later replaced as SMALLZOOKEEPER says by the Karma which became the Bridge.
2002/3 was white with a "pop art" style woman with a very red pair of lips.
2001/2 was black with a lightening bolt on it.
I think they actually made it in 2000/1 too also with black top sheet.
I have owned 01/2 ski and the 02/3, in fact I still sometime use the 02/3 ski as my tele touring ski...
I managed to kill the 01/2 model that I had set up alpine after a few years of abuse.
Great ski, somewhat different in terms of flex and shape to newer skis but cool all the same. Ski it, if you like it be very happy...

If I was buying new skis I would get something a bit wider, maybe 90-95mm, then I would definitely look at the Bridge. As I understand it this one is the softest ski of the Volkl Freeride range. Being relatively light weight at 72kg I find the V-pro stiff enough. Also very intrigued by the Nordica Enforcer which seems to get very good feedback and SZK's seal of approval.

Well from the comment I reckon I got a good deal.
This is the design (01/02?)
the_doc, from the description they seem fairly decent. The usual knocks for 2nd hand, but overall not too bad. We'll see when they arrive.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Hoop, I gave mine to a mate last year, I had the 02/03 version with the horny bird with the big lips and there was another pic of chick in bikini on the bindings which was nice to look at when I was bored on a chairlift. One of my favourite skis ever, very stable and grippy, lovely riding switch on them, nowdays I just want more width underfoot, I'm sure you'll enjoy them though.

Thanks for your opinions everyone.
I took a bit of a chance on them as I hadn't done any prior research, but the price was just too tempting.
Just need some boots now...

You know it makes sense.

Well they arrived today.
As per the description from the seller, the top sheet is marked along the sides of the tails from lift queues etc, but nothing I can't cope with. The bases look pretty damn good. In need of a wax, but the edges are still sharp as you like from their last service.
Overall I'm pretty happy with the condition, and just hope that I like them. I don't have that much to compare it to, and I like the challenge of getting to grips with new equipment, so all should be well.
I got fitted for some boots today, and like the look of the Head Edge +10. Anybody got any knowledge/experience of this boot? It felt comfortable and seems a popular choice.
