 Poster: A snowHead

Just looking for some thoughts/advice on buying some twin tip skis.
I've hired TT's over the past few years, not sure of the make but I've been looking at either the K2 Extreme's or Salomon Suspect to buy before this years trip to Val Thorens. I know there are probably better models like the 4Frnt MSP's and Line Chronic but there a little out my budget.
I'm a fairly aggressive skier on the pisted slops, ski mostly red's with occasional blacks and love going into the pow if it's there to enjoy. Last year I started trying out some park and I'm looking to do this more often.
Would also like some advice on lenght to buy, I'm 5'11" and just under 13 stone, will be trying to get this down nearer 12 and 1/2 before I head off though.
All advice appreciated cheers.

 Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Twin tips have a, relatively, shorter running surface on hard snow - so you can go longer.
Say, 185-190 for proper skiing . No idea about the park.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I'd go for the K2 Extremes if you like charging blacks and reds. I think you'd find the Suspects too soft for this.
Probably in either 174 or 179 length any of the other sizes will be too small I think.

Movement Gladiator or maybe Kamasutra, you'll get some deals on previous year's models on ebay (Noble's shop). The Glads are fantastic, if you're aggressive or big as they're fairly stiff. Wide-ish at 92mm but best "all-mountain" ski I've had - great for charging all over the shop

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

ca1der, Welcome to , just got myself a pair of K2 Extremes, they have them in at sail and ski for £340 with marker 11.0 bindings, which is considerably cheaper than slush and rubble or EB.
