Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

My guess is that the 10 - 35cm London received today was its biggest snowfall probably for 3 or 4 decades.

There are reports of 50cm in Hampshire.

This all follows on from the Oct 2008 snowfalls, which were a once-or-twice-a-century event for London.

update care of Ham & High: they've closed all the parks they can lock but the heath and primrose hill are open

Hubby left to catch a flight to London early this morning and is now sitting in a train in the midlands somewhere, any sensible person would've worked from home and tried again when flights have resumed rolling eyes
...... Though, that would mean putting up with me for an extra day Twisted Evil , probably better off on the train!!

Not here Sad
Plenty falling out of the sky, but it's struggling to settle on the grass, and certainly isn't doing so on roads or pavements.

I walked in to work. Normally takes 50 minutes but it took just over two hours today due to the ice underfoot - was sliding all over the place and had a few heart-stopping moments! I walked along the Thames and took a few pics on the way (updated my original post on page 1 of this thread). The snow in the park next to my house was almost up to my knees.

It's been snowing non-stop all day. Pretty cool snowHead

I'm completely stuck in the house. There's about 6 inches here in the Midlands.
Having bust my knee skiing at New Year and still on crutches, I can't get out of the door really without risking slipping over.
But hey, it still looks pretty through the window.
