The GM is riddled with crevasses. If you ski on anything less than 6ft you run the risk of falling into said crevasses

Blades are a fun training aid. They find out a lot of people who think they are good at skiing but who are not balanced. I'm sure some of those people don't like them!

I quite like the odd play around on blades.
They were great when the kids had just started skiing, lot easier to get close to them and help.

1. I can ski at an advanced level on normal lenght skis!
2. recently tried blades and think why make it hard for yourself! So i prefer the use of blades
