For a Burton Custom ICS board, do you need EST bindings or will any burton bingdings do? Also are the Burton Custom Progression Snowboard Bindings any good? Thanks !!

any burton binding will do, ICS boards come with 3 hole adaptor plates. it's only worth getting ICS with EST bindings, IMO it makes a difference for sure.

From what I have been told, Stab is spot on. Friends and shop staff who advised me were all raving about the feel and comfort of the new EST bindings.

I had customs for 2 years, I liked them and still have them on my rock board. Are they EST? I dont think they are are they? For me the ICS is only worth getting with the EST binding, cartels are my weapon of choice with the custom ICS.

I have been told that you can get adaptor plates to fit non EST bindings to ICS boards. It raises the foot bed though, so not ideal.

It doesnt raise the foot bed, it stays as normal. The new plates are 3 holes but with big slots so can be used on ICS or 3d. The middle slot becomes the viewing window like on the normal EST.
The footbed on a normal binding is higher than EST ones though, that is right.

Not easy on my phone but i'll try. Ics is the infinite channel system, basicaly 2 slotsthat the bindings can slide along where the binding holes would normally be. Add it to the new est bindings and its teh awesomez. It allows infinite stance and angles, no longer stuck to 3 degree variations and pre set binding holes. The base plates on est bindings are a cm of foam not plastic, this puts you right on the board and you feel more imo. If its good enough for jeremy jones its good enough for me, and no, i dont have a burton board but i have tested them.

The ICS system also lets you slide back for powder, in a couple of seconds. Just loosen the two screws per binding, slide back and re-tighten. Et Voila.
