Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

St Anton - Lockers?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
We're going out on Thursday morning and will be staying in Pettneu. As per recommendations on here we will be taking the train from Innsbruck to St Anton. Obviously we want to get skiing as soon as possible so does anyone know if there are lockers eg at the station where we could leave our stuff for the afternoon. Also any recommendations for ski hire shops - as I haven't been there for a while. Thanks in advance.

skim, there are lockers at the station, which is pretty convenient for the Galzig lift. There are ski lockers in the Galzig lift area IIRC, but I don't know whether they are the right shape for your luggage. The Intersport near the bottom of the Galzigbahn is very helpful and would probably look after your luggage. They offer ski and boot storage (at a price) which might be handy as you're styayiong out of town.

Have a good time, it looks great.

skim, agree with richmond, . Leave your gear near the Galzig lift, or alternatively leave your skis outside the Mooserwirt and forget to pick them back up Toofy Grin

Why did I type 'styayiong' instead of 'staying', I wonder?

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Thanks for the help with this. I think I'll try the Intersport. Boabski - I'm sure I've done something similar before but its definitely easier to get home with skis on.

Just got back from St Anton yesterday:

Alber Sport Check-In right next to the Galzigbahn. 20EUR for the week for boots and skis in staff controlled racks, 25EUR for a locker that will take your boots and helmets plus your skis in the staffed rack, and they also had some full size lockers that will take the lot but did not check the price.

They close at 7.30pm sharp, so if you are planning to stay in the Mooserwirt, Griabli or KK till late then probably not much point!
