Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I've done the tourist one at La Plagne; don't try it if you have any niggling spinal injuries - never been down any others, but you could try:

Calgary: http://www.coda.ca/cop/activities/bobsleigh_rides.cfm

Riga : http://www.rigaoutthere.com/en/show/event/16

St Moritz : http://www.stmoritz.ch/bobsleighing-002-010107-en.htm

Google may find others.

I suspect there's a story there...?

Sorry, no story, but the forces, even in the slowest of the options at La Plagne (Bobraft), put quite a strain on the neck. There are loads of warnings there about fitness, pregnancy etc and the 'Taxi-bob' goes faster.

Dom Joly gives an account of doing exactly that in Calgary - see today's Independent http://www.independent.co.uk/opinion/columnists/dom-joly/dom-joly-i-take-it-back-about-eddie-the-eagle-ndash-winter-sports-require-real-balls-1515801.html

I did the run at Igls many years ago, fantastic thrill but all over too quickly, just checked and they still appear to cater for pulic runs:
