Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

This was a very nasty one. There are photos and a video over on Epic, but I'm too squeamish to watch. - I can't understand the mentality of people who watch "Ski Sunday" for the crashes.

It looks like a few days before we'll get a prognosis....let's just hope for the best.

That jump is artificial IIRC and put in to make the finish more spectacular - time the organisers thought again - 2 serious crashes of this type are 2 too many. Sad Poor guy. Let's hope he recovers fully.

Lanning reported to be up on his feet in the Eurosport highlights package. Looks as if the helicopter was just a precaution. Nice to see the Kitzbuhel race complete and in good conditions. I have a poster in my utility room for one that was cancelled, and the one Rahlves won was shortened. It is such a spectacular event. Presumably on again tomorrow on Ski Sunday.
