Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Anybody been to soll just wondered could do with some info to see if there s any sports bars with sky sports near to the ski slopes or are they all in the town.

Welcome to snowHeads! If you try the 'ForumSearch' option (in top left corner of the screen), you'll find tons of information on Soll. However, I don't see anything which mentions Sky Sports there (except this thread).

ferryhillski, Only places I know are the Sports bar or the Salvernstadl both are in town and open at about 3pm most days

Thanks for replys only reason i asked was there is 27 of us coming to soll on the 31st january all from the north east we ve come for the sking/snowboarding but it would have been nice to get a late lunch and watch the derby on the sunday afternoon Sunderland v Newcastle.

Bar Austria does have Sky Sports, indeed it publicises the fact, but it is down in the village which is not what the OP wants.
I was in Soll last week and skied pretty much the whole SkiWelt, and all the bars up the mountain seemed to be the usual Austrian oompah-oriented venues. I saw very few TV screens and certainly no British TV up there. And thank god for that Wink

ferryhillski, I'm pretty sure that the Whiskey Muhle bar area had Sky Sports, but I visited about 6 years ago. It's just off the main square, past the Postwirt hotel.

Echoing Hayls, Iirc the side area of the Whiskey Muhle had Sky Sports on during the day when we went in there after an early finish.
