Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Anyone able to recommend these skis. http://www.skiwear4less.com/acatalog/Blizzard_X-Sprit_3.html
Thinking of buying a pair for my partner for a trip to Canada instead of renting. I think they are a couple of seasons old, but just wondered what you thought of the brand generally.

Drluvski, the brand is excellent, and has gotten heaps better in recent years.

Those specific skis are not, however, a good sample of the brand.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Drluvski, Skiwear4less sell new Blzzards that in terms of models are a couple of years old. Whether you should buy the ones you are looking at depends on what level your partner is at. These are pretty much beginners skis. But as Drluvski states as a brand they are excellent but from my knowledge Blizzard are better at making top end skis rather than for those with less ability. I've skieed Blizzards a couple of times and really liked them.

Corky, She is pretty much a beginner. Happy skiing blue runs that arent too tough. Hopefully these skis will do the job.

Drluvski, I would have gone with some of the Iqons from the same page for her, and the Sigma SLRs or Titan 8s (it -is- Canada) for -me-, but enjoy! Post a review if and when you can.

comprex, You're right, they both look like better skis. Just trying to keep the costs down. Buying those X Spirit ones works out at about £30 more than hiring basic beginner skis. But now youve got me thinking. Might go for the Iqons and if I can get £100 for them after 2 weeks use, it still works out the same as renting the cheapest skis.
