Anyone have an opinion one way or another?

 Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

On the JO pros - They fit me really nicely (I have rather large hands, so this is unusual, hestras et all are far too small), seem pretty well built, several layers and nice articulating on the palm, fairly light padding, seem pretty toasty from walking to work in -5, but that ain't skiing. The liners have a few threads in the right place to stop them going inside out when taking off sweaty.
If you can wait 10 days though I can give you an on the snow review and let you know if they fall apart, start to stink or I freeze.
Had to bin my trusty levels because they stink real bad, ski bum bad

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I bought some Kombi Cube GTX gloves a year ago. I'm very happy with them, they're comfortable, breathable and dry, but I haven't yet tested them out in really cold conditions.
Oh, and no sign of stinkiness either

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I leave in 1 - but back in 10ish they seem pretty good to be honest, but I run hot. Certainly more convincing than salomon & rossi soft shell offerings. We shall see..

Does anyone know if the Hestra Army Leather GTX XCR has a removable inner glove? some of the descriptions on web sites are a bit vague.

rich, don't think it was the leather ones if that helps your search... I think the normal army ones have a removable liner but tbh I didn't check out the Leather ones.

Righto -
Pros (of the pros) Just right temperature wise for someowne who dosen't need thermals (ie - me), good at wicking sweat away, plenty tough enough to withstand freshly sharpened edges, comfy, dexterous, windproof, low bulk, easy to get on and off, get dirty fast for that well worn ski bum look.
Cons: get dirty fast and make you look like pauper ski bum and DO NOT work at all in rain. Rain = very, very wet hands.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Just picked up the JO Pros myself, comfortable as hell and the closest thing I could find in comfort to my old Ami Chaud 5ives (RIP) for a reasonable price. Toyed with the Hestra 3 finger Army mitts but they were £80 in S&R :-/ Hope they perform well on my upcoming Tyrolean jaunt.

Update on the performance in coldish conditions: they were fine up on the Espace Killy glaciers a week or two back. I had some glove liners with me but had no need to use them
