Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Having just heard some horror stories about 7 quid pints in Val d'Isere I was wondering if anyone knew where the value beer is in Tignes? Puzzled

I've given up trying to get cheap pints on the slops. My option these days is a 0.5l caraf of the local red. Normally the same price as a pint! It's just a little embaressing when I order one and they bring two or three wine glasses as they assume it's to share....

Thirsty, there's a post in the Tignes 2008/9 thread from Alpaka Lodge that says that a pint is €4.50 a pint (with Snowheads discount).

Sounds good value compared to other bars.

Thirsty, Loop Bar in Le Lac, Happy Hours 4-6pm. Pitcher for 9 euros IIRC.
Alpaka Lodge as above. Little bit of discount for snowheads and SCGB.
I was chatting with another snowHead in the Alpaka at new year....Euro price of a pint in there has remained the same for about 3 years wink

Thirsty, Yup would recommend Loop Bar in Le Lac was best bar out there, can't remember prices but as I remember I was paying anything between €5-8 even in resort and this is about 4 years ago

It's changed hands since then. Now owned by Jamie & Morgan of the Jam Bar.
