Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

yo peeps.

a few mates and i are wanting to go for a month long ski/snowboard over easter, so we are looking for somewhere pretty darn high up, and some freshi fresh pillows. can you guys suggest somewhere that would fit the bill?
austria would be ideal, but will go wheres there's snow.

suggestions would be wicked.

also, if we went to 2 resorts for 2 weeks each, would a pass be more expensive than sticking to 1 for the whole 4 weeks.

peace.

mammothfaction, Try the Arlberg region as this has one of the best, if not the best, snow records in the Alps. St Anton is an awesome resort and you will find great off piste in the whole region. Stuben is a cheap base and has doorstep access to some of the best off piste in the area. Think your timing may coincide with a longboard festival at Stuben - check the website http://www.stuben.com/index.php?id=3&L=1

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

mammothfaction, It is impossible to guess a couple of months ahead where will have fresh powder, particularly in April.

Look for something like http://www.salzburgsuperskicard.com/eng/ and you'd have access to a massive area (with a bit of travelling involved) under the same liftpass. Your choice then where to base yourselves for the duration - 1 place or move on each few days/week/fortnight.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

mammothfaction, There are definetly some pillow lines in Stuben but in one of the lower altitude areas, my guide also reckoned that when they had enough snow they would 'pillow drop' the avalanche barriers in Stuben but obviously don't do that without a guide.! I had great powder in Lech and St Anton in May a few years ago so anything is possible but like the others have said you should definetly head to the Arlberg.
