Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I came back on Saturday 10th Jan and on piste is fine but a bit hard in places - could do with some new snow. Wasn't any forecast when I left.

Off piste not my thing but reported to be pretty tracked out by those more able than me

Good thing is it has been cold so very little by way of thaw / freeze

Also wildly expensive, albeit we didn't look for happy hours too hard as flights and chalet were cheap

c. CHF 20 for lunch on slope and CHF 7-8 for a beer

keshvane, pretty good. You have to walk min 1 hour for freshies but it has been cold and the North facing stuff is still awesome.

Most pistes are still really good.

Snow is now being forecast. About time too. Very Happy

Wot he said. Do a quick search for 'Verbier 2008-2009' as I did a mini report yesterday.

Doesn't have to be any more wildly expensive than any other resort - the GBP/CHF exchange rate is not however helping much
