Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Has any one tried the 2009 Atomic Nomads, Drives or D2 Double Deckers?
I will probably be picking up another pair of atomics this season and was wondering if anyone has tried the the new ones out? It looks a little like the D2s are something of a gimmick, to say the least, a little like the
Volkl
tigershark power switch but the drive and nomads should be pretty good (metron and izor heritage I believe).

The Tigersharks (Grizzlies this season) aren't a gimmick at all, they actually do what they are supposed to, very well. Anyway, you don't need to buy the 'power-switch' version. I've got the non-power-switch version and they are a phenomenal pair of skis(10FT version).

Thanks for the welcome, and I'm they do work well (i tried out a pair last season) but I couldn't help feeling that the idea of a power switch was rather pointless, I left it alone and enjoyed the ski. I suppose I could have used the switch near the end of the week when my legs where getting slightly tired. However I found the idea idea of needing to switch between settings in the morning and afternoon to be laughable
