Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Anyone used a company called Ski Safari Extras before??

Hi

I'm off to Breckenridge on my hols and have seen a company online called Ski Safari Extras who seem to be selling the lift pass cheaper than buying with the resort direct..... seems too good to be true (cheaper by about £100) and just wondered if anyone knew if they were reputable?

Thanks!

We have had several holidays with Ski Safari and have already bought our lift pass for Breckenridge for this year from them - we are off in two weeks time.

They are a great little company and have never had any problems with them in the past. When we have had full holidays with them they have given us vouchers for accommodation, transport, lift passes etc and it has alwasy gone very smoothly.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I have just checked the email I received from Ski Safari with my voucher for the lift ticket and, unlike the vouchers we have had for our holidays which are from Ski Safari confirming what we have purchased, this is from Vail Resorts. I have also seen the email conversation between Ski Safari and Vail Resorts for the purchase of our ticket so very confident that we will have no problems when we go.

I can post back again when we have the tickets to let you know how it went if you want.

Well, I think what I'm gonna do is phone Breck tourist office and check the lift company recognises the company then book the passes if all seems ok... there were some guys chatting about something similar on one of the other forums and thats what people were suggesting.... just paranoid that saving £100 is too good to be true!!

We have used Ski Safari several times and would also recommend them. Ski passes and lessons are normally lot cheaper with them. Previously I thought ski extras were only available if you had booked your holiday with them.

We used http://www.themountainsusa.com/ for our lift passes when we went to Breckenridge last Easter. We got passes for international visitors which were way, way cheaper than the walk up price (we saved several hundred pounds between 4 of us). The guy running it was also very helpful when I emailed & phoned for various bits of information as well. They're based in Frisco (just down the road from Breckenridge) so you pay in dollars so I guess savings would depend on the exchange rate (which we all know is far worse now than last Easter). We were also there after peak season but we had lift passes for 15 days at $249 covering Breckenridge, Vail, Keystone & A-basin - with the exchange rate last Easter that was about £125 for a 15 day pass - wow!! I paid for the lift passes by credit card in advance, then was emailed a voucher which we handed in at the lift office & they gave us the passes. Everything very simple & smooth - I understand your concern as I felt the same last year before using them which was why I phoned & emailed them to try & check them out a bit, however, after using them I would definitely use them again as I think the deal we got was brilliant.

I think I received an email from http://www.themountainsusa.com/ a few days ago saying they were going to be reductions on lift passes shortly but I can't remember it exactly & have deleted the email. Might be worth a loook at their website or emailing them for details.
