Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Solden Apres Ski

I was hoping for some suggestions on where to go for apres ski in Solden. I am a group leader for 30 people that is going to Solden at the end of Janauray 2009. I know that Solden has a ton of apres ski so I am trying to direct the group to the best places. I have heard that Fire and Ice is a good place but I have heard conflicting reports whether it is good right after skiing or not...I want to be sure that this place is good fun at 4pm...not just after dinner. The bigger and more crazy the bar...the better it is for my group. Please help...thanks!

I would go with the flow, when I went with a group it was early December and the place was rocking!, Fire and Ice seemed to be better later on, you could try the Partyhaus and Dominic Bla-Bla, but to be honest anywhere in the main street within 150 yards of Fire and ice there are plenty of places and most of them were buzzing when we were there, play it by ear you can't go wrong.....They are having a great season by the way, excellent snow at the moment, should be good..
