Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Going through there on the 6 Jan, anyone been through lately? any tips for the over laden ski family? Can't avoid it anyway, even if it has not improved. But surely it can't be as bad as Manchester this summer, Free for all at the check in desks, que for 35 mins. Move on to the security que's, 30 mins, delayed flight 1 hour. Other than that, sweet.

I've flown from there a few times in recent months and it has always been trouble-free. No particular delays getting checked-in or through security, and plenty of space to chill out while waiting for your flight.

CJ001, Less than 10 minutes from Bus to Duty Free. on line check-in works well too. Really airy feel to terminal, good food air-side.

Heaven, every time so far. Check in on-line - if you are flying BA they'll let you bag drop from 3 hrs before flight.

CJ001, terminal heaven. used twice over the last three months and it's been mostly brilliant both times. off the flight from geneva, got through passport control & got my luggage within 30 minutes of landing.

had one problem when we first used it though: if you arrive using the tube, you have to use the lifts to get to departures cos it's a bit difficult to find the escalator route through the arrivals hall.

Used it in the summer and I was very impressed. Flight to LA and back, check in, security and luggage handling was spot on.

Best terminal of any airport I've evre been to. Works like clockwork, fast, no hassle.

Only been through once but on the way back our bags were on the carousel before we were even there.
