Beautiful day in the Flathead valley - stunning sunshine and views across Glacier National Park.
Snow - seemed to have been marshalled well enough on the groomer and cold and crisp in the trees. In fact cold everywhere -20 + a windchill factor on the chairlifts meant certain frost nip for any sq cm of exposed flesh. Nothing moved too quickly - guess I should have waxed for -30. Too cold to do a full day in fact but hot choc went down very well.

fatbob, for how long are you there? Hope you get a good dump. Top resort - I sampled both Whitefish and Fernie last year and in many ways I preferred Whitefish.

fatbob, Glad you're finally putting skis to snow. Lookout was fine but also cold 4-5 runs before we had to go warm up and very limited opening hoping this next storm comes through with more snow.

My wife and i will be there in late Jan (24th-5th Feb) staying at The Kandahar Lodge and can't wait. I've been wanting to do this trip for a good few years so any up to date local info/weather conditions posted on this thread will be very useful
