Booked to go to StA 16-26 January.
1 My ski boots gave me some trouble last season and need some adjustments, I probably also need new footbeds.
2 My skis also need some TLC...any suggestions where to get a good service?

thanks, I know Albers - they are kind of the Harrods of St Anton. 
wrt bootfitting I am looking for specific names of bootfitters if possible.

Try Jurgen at Jennewein, next to the Nassereinbahn. Their tunes have been top- notch for quite a few seasons now and Jurgen is very helpful when it comes to boot problems - he certainly knows his stuff. Try however not to go there at the peak times, like Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.
If you are up for new boots, then I can recommend Strolz. I have had mine for 2 seasons, about 100 ski days, and my wife got hers last year. They made a quantum difference to our skiing.

I had a pair of Strolz 10 years ago (the one with walking mode and the funky coloured buckles), they were great the first season but after that they were a pain and the buckles were terrible, but I will check out the current models when I am there.

snowman, Another vote for Strolz. Bought mine this year and made an instant difference, although unlike ulmerhutte, I've only had about 11 days skiing with them  but are fantastic. Think they may do them in Alber too. The buckles are a bit fidgety though

I don't think strolz have changed much over the last ten years. The buckles nearest my toes often broke which was a pain but Strolz replaced them no problem. In the end I changed to a touring boot which actually fitted better as I have chicken ankles an skinny feet. As far as I'm aware there isn't a bad bootfitter at Sport Alber. The Strolz liner can also be put in other shells.

They managed to custom fit a couple of pairs of boot heels for our old boots when none were readily available at a grand cost of 20 euros
