Get it serviced, stick it on the snow and ride it, that'll tell you everything you need to know.
Nidecker make/made a lot of 'carving' boards for use with hard boots and my fading memory seems to think that this is one. What are the dimensions? Even if it is, you can ride it in soft boots, you may need to have more forward binding angles.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

diverdrew, welcome to snowHeads
Despite having a nidecker board myself (chill), I know absolutely nothing about them. I hope someone else can be more help.

Thanks for the replies...I am incidently a twin-plank convert (the TAX payer taught me to ski when I was in the Army), I took up boarding fairly recently (thought I was too old), but a GP friend of mine didn't start till he was 40...and I'm not forty yet !!

diverdrew, have you ever skied on the new carving boards? If not, you owe it to yourself to try it. Simply as an option; they change skiing completely!
