Hi
Due to various commitments I cannot get a decent break away until April, did Whistler in Feb this year and loved so want to go back.
Although I know one can never tell but from experience will there still be snow etc down in the village? Just enjoyed the fact I can ski to the hotel and/or just get a beer at the bottom, a pile of mud wouldn't be so nice!
Looks like the mountains themselves should be fine.
Any experiences of Whistler in April in year past would be appreciated.

I think the latest I ever got the bottom when I lived out there was around 24th aprili? It wasnt pretty and more mud than snow, better to download really.
Ie from top of Excaliber Gondola on Blackcomb or Mid station on Whistler. The bike park normally opens late april, you get the picture!

Yeah get the picture, maybe I need to consider another location!
Really looking for ski in/out really cannot be bothered to drive in an out for a days skiing.
Dates approx 9th - 20th April
Maybe I will just have to squeeze in a Feb trip to Whistler but I definitely want a 10/11 days somewhere else.

Skiing back to resort in april should be no trouble in a high european resort like val d'isere val thorens or st anton

tubbs, I write a blog on the snow conditions for Whistler, and if you read my entry for April 27th 2008 snow in whistler, you will read that while officially closed, you could still ski to the valley. Early april, it was still fantastic skiing....
