Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Will Canazei (Dolomiti ski) be much different value for money to France 3v, Paradiski, in resort?

If France is it, which of the larger areas is cheaper.

Skint uk.

Very Happy

I'd take a guess at the Grand Massif or Serre Chevalier. Lift passes usefully cheaper than Paradiski (146/150 as opposed to 182 for 6 days). Don't know about Canazei. I haven't been to Austria for years but lots of Snowheads reckon it's a lot cheaper (eating, drinking) than France.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

mfamily2, Went to Canazei about two years ago same price if not cheaper than Soll. went to 3v's about five years ago twice the price of Soll.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

In Canazei beer. wine, restaurants will all be cheaper than France. The Dolomiti Superski pass, while not cheap is also cheaper than in the big French resorts (3v. Paradiski etc.)

Italy has the cheapest resort ime, last season we were paying as little as 1 eruo for a glass of red and 3 euro for .4lt beer, cheap as chipd....that was in Bormio. In Alpe d'Huez wine was around 4 euro and beer 7/8 euros. I realise not evryone takes a drink wink but they are good models for the economy NehNeh

Maurienne is cheap and a big area if you have a car to drive between resorts.

When was skiing ever good value?

We do it cos we love it, not because its a cheap option for something else.

Anyway the exchange rate is good for UK jobs, including our boot fitters Wink

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Though since ski boots and related bits and pieces are mostly imported, the prices will presumably soon go up - along with other imported items.
Should help the nascent British ski industry though; we heard a bit about that on Snowheads recently.
